v                       What can you expect?

v     Individual consultancy to families.

o       I would assess your child’s needs and provide a detailed individualized home program for you to implement.

o       Individual teaching sessions with child and carer.

o       During the initial stages of this program a weekly home visit is recommended to help you implement the specific techniques that will help you teach your child.

o       Once the program is established visits can be less frequent.

o       I would lend you some suitable equipment; e.g. posting boxes, picture lottos.

o       I would make appropriate aids for your child, e.g. Boardmaker communication cards. 

 

v     Talks on Autism Spectrum Disorder.

o       Talks on ASD can be individualized to suit a particular audience.

o       I can present talks on a wide variety of specific topics relating to ASD, (e.g. play skills, social skills; behaviour, communication).

 

v     Training for people working with children who have an ASD. 

§         I present workshops on various aspects of autism spectrum disorder for child care workers, respite carers etc.,

 

v     Consultancy to work places employing a person who has an ASD.

o       Periodically difficulties can arise in the work place. I have had experience brain-storming with staff to help solve this type of problem.
